Introduction 介绍
Dance Ensemble Singapore (DES) aims to promote Chinese culture and performing arts in Singapore. It is a well established dance company. It has been playing an active role in the local arts scene in developing arts and nurturing young talents. Des provides a creative and versatile dance education to its members. It allows them to have a better understanding and appreciation of the Chinese culture and performing arts, build up their self-confidence and impart good moral values into them. Members will also have the opportunity to gain exposure on stage performance and receiving training on other arts form.

Nurturing the young talents
Arts education plays an important part for a child’s physical, mental and emotional development, and it should start at an early age. Your child deserves the opportunity to learn in a good and comfortable environment so as to cultivate his/her self-confidence, and enabling him/her to learn new skill and knowledge from a group of caring, helpful and experience arts professionals. When your child learned to hold the right attitudes towards learning, he/she becomes more creative, disciplined, and responsible. All these will eventually lead to a lifelong process of enrichment for him/her. Your child will receive arts exposure from performing on stage and also learn to explore and interpret dreams & ideas behind the masterworks of international and local choreographers. This will further enhance his/ her understanding and appreciation of the arts.

We have a team of experience and dedicated teachers and administrators who are all professionally trained. We strive to inculcate the spirit of cultural and gracious society through the learning and appreciation of our cultural legacy, namely Chinese classical dance, folk dance and martial arts.

In the Pursuit of artistic excellence, we seek to develop the arts in Singapore; and be the best Chinese dance company. We conduct Arts Education Programme in schools; reach out extensively to the community through our public dance performance, and participate in both local and international Cultural and Dance Festivals in Singapore and overseas.
