About Us

Established in 2004, DES Arts is the professional wing of Dance Ensemble Singapore (DES). With the goal of mastering its craft in Chinese dance, it has been actively promoting the ‘Nanyang’ style in recent years. At the helm of our core team, Mdm Yan Choong Lian (DES Founder and DES Arts Artistic Advisor), and led by Sharon Low (Dance Director), Cai Shiji (Creative Director), and Goh Yan Dan (Programme Director), DES Arts actively diversifies its artistic scope through two core performances each year. Constantly cultivating quality artists who embody spirits of excellence, wisdom, and depth, DES Arts’ journey heads towards international stages, captivating audiences with the beauty of Chinese performing arts.

2004年，聚舞坊成立一支专业的舞团 – 当代艺团，在聚舞坊当代艺团艺术顾问严众莲，舞蹈总监卢雪萍带领与指引，并由当代艺团创艺总监蔡适吉，节目总监吴燕丹的执行下，创另一个创新与融汇贯通的平台，促成当代艺团走向更专业的表演舞台。
